ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 Godai Eggplant Purple

ASICS’ fifth edition of its Gel-Lyte series, the Gel-Lyte 5, drops purple and black. The Gel-Lyte 5 has a new pack featuring the five elements in Japanese Buddhist philosophy, wind, water, fire, earth and the void. Take a closer look at the ASICS Gel-Lyte 5 Godai “Eggplant Purple” that represents the void.

This Gel-Lyte 5 has dark purple suede overlays wrapped around the toe and quarter panel sections. The ASICS Tiger stripes outlined in white on both sides of the shoe match the perforated leather base. Suede paneling on the eye stay section and the heel are in jet black. The white midsole is equipped with rearfoot GEL technology and is also made with at least 20% recycled content. A special edition Godai coin deubré stamped with characters representing the void and a purple and white rubber outsole are the finishing touches on this silhouette.
