Japanese fashion label Meanswhile teams up with Converse for an outdoor-inspired revamp on the latter’s classic chunky running shoe Odessa. This “CONVERSE CAMPING SUPPLY” collaboration marks the first partnership between the two brands, which includes a second colourway. The Meanswhile x Converse Odessa "Beige" flaunts utilitarian aesthetics in a clean neutral-toned colour combination.
Formed in 2014 by Naohiro Fujisaki, Meanswhile conceptualises clothes “as not only a garment but a tool of daily wear”. The brand resonates with urban explorers and outdoor fashion enthusiasts, releasing various utilitarian apparel collections as its niche. This unique take on the Converse Odessa brings the 1985 running shoe back to life. The silhouette itself features a unique side-lacing system built for added stability. Its dual-density cushioning provides bounce and flexibility wherever you go. This “OSS CP” rendition features a beige suede base with grey suede overlays for extra durability. Meanswhile reworks the classic side lacing system and uses a technical lacing system dubbed “SPLC” for an improved and adjustable fit. Debossed “Converse Camping Supply” branding adorns the heel to wrap up this outdoor-friendly collab.
