Time seems to have flown since New Balance brough back its 2002R model in 2020, but now the Boston-based brand looks set to bring back a collab that helped relaunch the product with a vengeance. Following on from the "Grey" colourway that dropped a couple of years back, the Invincible x N.HOOLYWOOD 2002R "Navy" sees the Tawainese sneaker boutique and Japanese label come together with New Balance once again, so here's everything you need to know about the upcoming collab.
Much like the previous joint effort, which utilised tough ripstop fabric and hairy suede, the "Navy" Invincible x N.HOOLYWOOD 2002R also features a rough-and-ready look and feel. This time though, the kicks also feature GORE-TEX, which readies them for the winter season. Heavy-duty mesh, nubuck and suede all arrive in tonal shades of navy, whilst grey accents peek through at the toebox in classic NB fashion. GORE-TEX branding appears at the forefoot and just below the ankle, and an extra 'N' logo has been added just below the lace unit. Special-edition tongue tabs and insoles call out to the 3-way collab, which is finished with an N-ERGY midsole unit to ensure a comfy ride.
