New Balance 550 Grey Suede

The New Balance 550 is now available in multiple colourways after Teddy Santis of Aimé Leon Dore revived the retro model in 2020 in four colourways. Loved for its low-top collegiate style, the Boston footwear brand quickly followed up with various in-line renditions. The New Balance 550 Grey Suede is the label's latest addition to the 550 roster, featuring a new suede outfit to elevate its street appearance.

Instead of an all-leather base like many of the GR pairs today, this rendition opts for soft suede panels in a predominantly grey palette. With that said, small leather elements, in white, are still present like the 'N" logos on the lateral and medial sides and the rear overlay. An EVA-infused sole unit beneath the feet ensure these lifestyle shoes offer all day comfort, with NB-branded tongues and heels to maintain the OG 1989 basketball aesthetic.
