Levi’s x New Balance 580 Grey

Levi’s continues to make waves in the sneaker industry, flawlessly incorporating the world-renowned fashion brand’s archetypal denim fabrics onto footwear. To expand its collaborative portfolio, Levi Strauss & Co. reunites with Boston-based sportswear giant New Balance for a two-pack capsule featuring the cult classic New Balance 580. Part of Levi’s 150th anniversary of the timeless 501 jeans, the trail-ready Levi’s New Balance 580 “Grey” is well-equipped to take on any adventure!

The latest collaborative project between Levi’s and New Balance commemorates the pioneers of mountain biking in Marin County, California. With the New Balance MT580 starting out as a trail running shoe before becoming a Japanese streetwear staple in the ‘90s, the chunky silhouette perfectly fits the bill to star in this outdoor-inspired design overhaul. The “Grey” iteration features Levi’s signature SHRINK-TO-FIT™ denim underlay in an indigo hue, wrapped around by grey smooth nubuck overlays. Contrasting the heavy neutral tones is an eye-popping pink pigment, which envelops the “N” logos on the sides and suede heel tabs. A deep blue tint highlights the rubber piece on the quarter panels and rubber tongue patch. Levi’s woven red tab embellishes the lateral section of the right shoe. Elsewhere, the co-branded labels animate the yellow sockliners. The chunky blacked-out midsole carries C-Cap cushioning and a revolutionary Rollbar system for stability. Tried-and-tested rugged treads wrap up the outdoor-oriented colour palette of these trail running kicks. The shoe comes in a custom special-edition box and three sets of laces to personalise your style.
