KITH x New Balance 993 Spring 101

Launching exclusively at KITH, this New Balance 993 is executed in what the former is calling its “Spring 2023 palette”. The two have had a long history of collaborations, with the 99X range a clear favourite for the multifunctional lifestyle brand. That being said, this “Spring 101” edition is certainly up there in terms of classy offerings, with an elegant mixture of neutral tones ready to carry you into the warmer days of the year.

A teal mesh underlays the NB 993’s various webbed panelling, contrasted by a beige on the eyestay and sidewall. The mudguard and heel both head for comfort with a familiar shade of New Balance grey, an echo of the shoe’s original DNA. Playing into the soft palette is the set of heavy cream laces, contributing to the shoe’s premium tooling. Beige accents can also be spotted towards the back portion of the midsole, playing into the split-panelled design on the upper above while highlighting the various sections of the ENCAP and ABZORB cushioning.

This KITH x New Balance 993 “Spring 101” arrives with understated confidence, yet still stands out among the strong release calendar of “Made in USA” colourways being produced by Teddy Santis.
