The New Balance 996 Made in USA Navy Blue is a coveted favourite amongst sneakerheads. This rendition has a light-blue mesh base that peeks through at the toe box, medial collar and tongue. The rest is panelled in slightly worn-in suede in a darker blue hue as well as earthy beige in the case of the heel. Ridged gumming at the heel adds another protective layer as does the upward-curling toe and deeply grooved outsole. The collar is comfortably padded and reinforced with leather at the heel.
