Comme des Garçons Homme Plus reunites with Nike for a third Air Foamposite One colourway following a duo of limited-edition styles in 2021. Paying homage to the Paris Olympics, the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Foamposite One “Cat Eye” gears up for a podium finish with its distinct, CDG-coded design.
Like the previous editions, this iteration features a bespoke Foamposite moulding that boasts a series of spirals instead of the regular spaced out divets into multiple fascinating concentric ripples. Marbleised graphics wrap around the polyurethane upper, achieving the titled 'cat eye' effect. The pull tabs showcase glittery bronze, silver, and gold stripes as a nod to the Olympic medals. A metallic Swoosh logo adorns the lateral forefoot, whilst the CDG Homme Plus labels grace the leather heel collar. The sockliner flaunts co-branded symbols to commemorate the latest collaboration between long-time partners. Tying into the medal colours of the Summer Games is the bronze, silver and gold stitch lines that run across the front and rear pull tabs as a subtle nod to the legendary sporting event.
Similar to other CDG collaborations, this pair arrives in a typical black open lid Nike box. It is worth bearing in mind that these do not come with any spare laces.
