Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy

The shoe that reshaped sneaker culture is back. While debates continue about whether the Galaxy Foams are the definitive catalyst of sneaker resell culture, their place in the top five moments of footwear history is undeniable. Over a decade since its groundbreaking debut at the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend, the Nike Air Foamposite One "Galaxy" is making a surprise return to shelves in 2025. Don’t blink, these won’t last long.

Nike shocked fans worldwide by announcing the return of the "Galaxy" live on the SNKRS Showcase. First revealed during a Spring 2025 preview, the announcement reignited the same buzz that made the original release so iconic. Whether or not you think this retro was the right move, one thing is certain: demand will be through the roof. With hype levels rivalling legendary drops like the Undefeated 4s, these are set to dominate the sneaker world once again.

Breaking new ground in 2012, the "Galaxy" Foamposite was unlike anything seen before. The Foamposite upper is wrapped in its signature galaxy print, featuring vivid interstellar hues of purple, blue, and black that capture the beauty of deep space. Inspired by the 2012 NBA All-Star Game’s location in Orlando, Florida, home to the Kennedy Space Center, this design feels as futuristic now as it did over a decade ago.

While the original came in a standard brown Nike box, fans are speculating that the 2025 retro will feature special packaging worthy of its legendary status. Retailing at £210 and dropping in February 2025 via the Nike SNKRS app and select UK retailers like Footpatrol and END., these will be extremely limited.
