Air Jordan 4 Retro Fear (2013)

Jordan Brand pays homage to the motivational Become Legendary campaign from 2008 with the Air Jordan “Fear” Pack. The collection includes iconic Air Jordan Retros like the Air Jordan 3, AJ4, and AJ5. The “Look Me In The Eyes” ad campaign featured Michael Jordan alongside Team Jordan athletes like Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Ray Allen, and Rip Hamilton, to name a few. The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Fear” presents a contrasting colour scheme that forms a gradient-like makeover.

This limited-edition Air Jordan 4 boasts a dark grey nubuck base with a black upper panel and light grey mudguard. Pristine white tones juxtapose the predominantly dark silhouette, enveloping the TPU support wings and inner lining. Meanwhile, the world-renowned Jumpman adorns the tongue with a stylised Flight label to honour Michael Jordan’s ability to soar for awe-inspiring dunks. The unique sockliner displays MJ’s quote from the “Become Legendary” ad: “I’m afraid of what I won’t become, and you’re scared of what I could become”.

Another Jumpman logo adorns the TPU heel panel, replacing the classic Nike Air branding spotted on OG styles. Grey and black gradient details engulf the midsole, accented with white speckles to showcase an exquisite contrast to the stealthy Air Jordan sneaker. Meanwhile, the signature visible Nike Air unit sits in the heel to deliver ample cushioning. The clean white rubber outsole flaunts a faint light grey tinge, completing the design.
