Arriving with a blacked-out upper and midsole, this Black Schematic Air Max 1 features an all-new styled upper. White detailing taken from Tinker Hatfield’s original designs for this silhouette are the focal point of the upper, decorating the shoe from the toe box to the heel. The details include rough sketches from his blueprint design in white, contrasting to the dark mesh and suede that dresses the sneaker.
Specific design lines including the shape of the overlays, the placement of the Swooshes and labelling of the material used are printed across the shoe. Vertical white lines work around the collar, with white stitched detailing on the heel. The heel also features two types of branding, of course, Nike Air appears on one, and ‘Tinker’ in a handwritten-style font on the alternate.
