Nike Air Max 1 Winter to Spring Neutral Grey

The design team at Nike have decided to give the Air Max 1 a seasonal dressing in this “Winter to Spring” colourway, helping you get through the darker months in style. Don’t let looks deceive you though as these seemingly simple Air Max 1s come with pom-pom lace tips, something we never knew felt so right.

Above, the pastel colours associated with the “Spring” are only hinted at through the eyestays and mini-Swoosh, with the sole and inside of the shoe being allowed to let loose with a completely different palette. Keeping to the subdued “Winter” tones, the upper is decked out in an array of materials, with supple leather, hairy and fine suede all forming the construction. The “winter” portion of the motif does seem to be the more dominant out of the two, however, the sections of the shoe that does embrace the “spring” theme do so in great fashion. The inside remains much of a mystery as the dotted design on the insole and symbols via the back of the tongue all indicate a further level of storytelling by the people over at the Swoosh. For now, we’ll be stroking our chin and celebrating the addition of the pom-pom lace tips while we wait for more info from Nike.
