Japanese footwear boutique Mita Sneakers revisits a ‘90s Air Max icon in this exclusive collaboration with Nike. The Tokyo-based shop is home to some of the most elusive styles and rare regional-exclusive samples in streetwear history, a nod to the Asian nation’s distinctive fashion taste. Paying homage to a sample pair in a photoshoot with Boon Magazine, the Mita Sneakers x Nike Air Max 95 “Ueno Prototype” offers a subtle update to the legendary “Neon”.

This limited-edition 110 sports the OG’s greyscale colour blocking, transforming from clean white to dark grey to form a contrasting gradient. The signature neon accent animates the embroidered Swoosh on the lateral rear, complementing the nylon lace loops and exposed Air bubbles in the forefoot and heel. Pitch-black shades envelop the Ueno-branded lining, laces, and tongue, deviating from the original version’s clean white makeover. An all-black PU foam midsole delivers responsive cushioning, propped up by the classic waffle outsole.
