Nike Air Max 97 Cork Pink

The details make all the difference on the newly released Nike Air Max 97 Cork Pink. This Christian Tesser-designed pair which usually features more futuristic-looking colourways and materials has joined the brand’s “Move to Zero” collection and shows off a plant-based theme.

The recycled canvas upper in the Air Max 97’s signature wavy design is dressed up in the titular pink but in a more coral shade. The only exception is one layer of paint-speckled cork. When viewed from the top, you’ll see an embroidered cork plant on the tongues. The speckled wine-coloured outsole is actually made of 9% recycled cork partly sourced from the wine industry. The mid-panel window features a dainty embroidered white mini Swoosh. The mini Swoosh is repeated on one corner of the tongue. The full-length Air unit that has been a standard on the Air Max 97 has a transparent cassette featuring the white construction inside.
