Lauded as one of the pioneers of Zoom technology, the legendary Nike Air Zoom Spiridon OG “Metallic Silver Sport Red” returns in Holiday ‘24. Named after Spiridon Lewis, the first person to ever win the Olympic Marathon, this is not actually the first time the Swoosh named one of its shoe after the athlete. Last retro'd in 2016, this runner debuted in the late ‘90s, headlining the Oregon-based sportswear brand’s foray into pressure-mapped designs.
This streamlined Spiridon OG boasts a 1-to-1 remake of the original version, kitted in grey mesh uppers with a black synthetic mudguard. A glossy red Swoosh adorns the quarter panels, complementing the embroidered mini Swoosh on the lateral forefoot and tongue. The sculpted foam midsole offers a plush, sink-in comfort. A bottom-loaded full-length Zoom unit provides a springy, responsive cushioning, encased within a segmented rubber outsole inspired by a human barefoot.
Landing in a Special Edition NikeLAB black box, with the OG Spiridon tucked inside with the typical wrapping paper.
Arriving on the 20th of December 2024 for £145 via the Nike SNKRS app as well as select UK retailers like SNS and Offsrping, be sure to set up a release reminder by clicking the "Notify me" bell icon.
