Union x Nike Field General Black Ivory

Union LA reunites with Nike to deliver two stunning renditions of the returning Field General. Hailed as one of the pioneers in the New York and Los Angeles streetwear scene, the Chris Gibbs-led clothing label celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2024, headlined by a slew of collaborations with the Swoosh brand. The Union x Nike Field General “Black Ivory” ushers a modern-day rework to the sleek American football boot, now reimagined for the city streets in a familiar colour scheme spotted in past team-ups.

This iteration flaunts a multicolour knit underlay, shored up by blacked-out leather and suede overlays to keep the structure intact. Grey Swooshes adorn the sides, complemented by a yellow UN/LA tag on the lateral eyestays. Blue co-branded labels decorate the tongue and sockliners, while subtle Nike logos embellish the heel. Eye-catching blue and yellow stitching appears throughout the upper, giving the predominantly stealthy upper an added pop of colour. The nylon pull tab works with the topmost lace hole for a snug fit. An ivory rubber outsole boasts another co-branding on the lateral rear, backed by square nubs inspired by the iconic waffle sole.
