Uplifting the present generation and inspiring the future, Nike celebrates the launch of the Yardrunners 4.0 campaign with a handful of Nike Terminator High colourways paying homage to respective HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). This “Alabama A&M University” colourway represents the Bulldogs, clad in storytelling details and school emblems to honour school pride.

Nike showcased Alabama A&M University in the Yardrunners 2.0 in 2021, along with other notable HBCUs. The brand reunites with the HBCU for the Class of 2023, tapping then cheerleader and now engineer Jennifer Gray to design the school’s Nike Terminator High entry. This rendition flaunts a clean white leather base, with burgundy overlays encompassing the toe, Swoosh, and lower heel panels. Light grey suede materials cover the eyestay and upper rear section. Subtle embossed Alabama A&M crests emblazon the collar. A gold “1875” detailing decorates the lateral forefoot, an ode to the university’s year of inception, complemented by a golden Nike branding on the back. Honouring the Bulldogs, the metallic gold bone-shaped lace dubraes banner Butch and Bruiser, the school mascots, while Bulldogs’ emblem adorns the tongue. “Normalite” and “Normal Hill” labels on the laces and inner tongue are a tribute to AAMU’s hometown. The gum rubber outsole caps off this collaborative colourway infused with school spirit.
