The Public Enemy x PUMA Clyde Red Black is the latest collaborative footwear model to honour the legendary 1980s hip-hop group. They have long since been in the limelight and are widely recognised as one of the most defining artists of the genre. Puma decorates the iconic Clyde silhouette in order to pay tributes to the group.
The pair are crafted from supple suede throughout and showcase classic design elements such as the black formstrip stitched onto each side. Perforated sections ensure that feet don’t overheat inside and Puma’s signature logo is hot-stamped onto the lateral side in gold. A dual-branded tongue contains Puma branding alongside Public Enemy’s signature crosshairs motif for a luxury feel.
Underfoot, a classic whited-out sole is given a refreshing twist in the form of bold lettering reading “FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET”, the title of Public Enemy’s hit 1990 studio album. The shoes flow neatly and make for an impressive collaborative effort.
The Public Enemy x PUMA Clyde Red Black is set to launch soon via select retailers, so if you’re looking to get your hands on a pair be sure to stay locked into The Sole Supplier and keep checking back on our list of approved stores above.
