London and Reykjavik-based design studio RANRA reunites with Salomon for two versions of the Salomon Cross Pro. Engineered with sustainable materials and pigmented with natural dyes, RANRA preserves the silhouette’s versatile features for off-road exploration and streetwear poise. The RANRA x Salomon Cross Pro “Better Red” flaunts fiery details consisting of red and orange hues, with a coconut-coated mudguard as a nod to the brand’s commitment to minimise the environmental impact of manufacturing new materials.
After RANRA’s debut collab with Salomon for FW22, two more Salomon Cross Pro renditions arrive on the tail-end of Summer ‘23. This rendition boasts sustainable updates to the shoe, flaunting a naturally dyed red cotton ripstop mesh upper with orange suede eyestays and a brown mudguard coating derived from coconut. Subtle Salomon branding adorns the lateral rear mudguard and orange tongue pull tab. Meanwhile, RANRA labels emblazon the red heel pull tab. Recycled rubber makes up the orange sole injected with recycled EVA foam for superior cushioning and stability. Inside the shoe is a natural cork sockliner, providing extra comfort underfoot. Rugged traction patterns on the recycled outsole complete this blazing design.
