Puma continues to look to its archives and bring pieces back to life with a contemporary twist. The latest addition comes as an expansion to the Mirage franchise with the PUMA Mirage Sport, a sneaker inspired by the energetic world of DJ culture.
With the first Puma Mirage sneakers arriving all the way back in the 70s, this model has had near 50 years to both grow and blossom into the shoe it is today. The result is a mash-up of both original retro-style fused with contemporary technology and design.
A mixture of textures and layers adorn the outside of the shoe with mesh, suede, synthetics and foam all making an appearance. PUMA's Design Lead Danny Taylor said "we wanted to expose the manufacturing process and the imperfections that come in the early sampling process of a sneaker" and because of that select detailing such as the exposed foam under the collar and disconnected edges are all still present.
This "White" colourway arrives with a variety of muted pastel tones ideal for Summer wear and styling. Additionally, splashes of bright orange and blue are both featured for added pops of colour.
There's no denying this PUMA Mirage Sport is a must cop for anyone looking to add some flair back to their warm-weather fits, so we'd advise copping while you still can! In other news, the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 could really be happening.
