Awake NY x ASICS Donate All Proceeds to Charity from GEL-KAYANO Trainer 21 Collaboration

In the last few years, New York City-born clothing label Awake NY has earned a cult following in the sneaker scene—thanks to its ongoing collaboration with ASICS. Fans have been paying close attention to their offerings, notably the GEL series that is now welcoming a new addition to their ever-growing roster.

The Awake NY x ASICS GEL-KAYANO Trainer 21 collaboration features two designs with all the profits set to go towards late Virgil Abloh's POST-MODERN scholarship fund that centres on creating opportunities for Black creatives.

Arriving in "Cream" and "Teal" colourways, the Awake NY ASICS Gel-Kayano 21 comes with a neat balance of premium materials like supple suede, athletic mesh, and smooth leather. As for branding details, "Awake NY" is neatly embroidered towards the lateral toes and traditional GEL branding details on the rear sections from the Japanese sportswear powerhouse. Pops of colour injected into the top heel area are for a touch of contrast, and the pull tab is for added convenience.

The Awake NY x ASICS GEL-KAYANO Trainer 21 is launching on December 12 exclusively at Miami-based retailer UNKNWN.
