Since New Balance reissued the classic sneaker earlier this year, the Boston based running brand is still shaking things up with new versions and collaborations of the 860v2, catching the eye of a fresh wave of sneaker fans. After announcing the strikingly loud Up There x New Balance 860v2, we're now going to be treated to two monochrome variants in the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 860v2 collab.
Unlike the bold and chunky 2011 reissue, this new 860v2 takes a more understated approach, with subtle tonal differences and "tight gauge" mesh underlays for a smooth finish. A mix of embossed synthetic overlays and suede details adds depth to the design.
This collaboration will drop in two colourways: an all black version and a classic grey option. Both styles have a white midsole paired with grey and black outsoles. The grey version has darker overlays and eyestays for some contrast, while the black one lets the overlays blend subtly with the deep black base.
Silver lines decorate the heel counters of both pairs, featuring an unmissable red “NB” emblem just below the heel tab. You’ll also see COMME des GARÇONS branding alongside the New Balance logo on the tongue and inside the insoles. Both pairs will feature a sleek performance look, opting for a modern vibe by simplifying the materials used.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 860v2 are launching on 18th October for £215, exclusively at select COMME des GARÇONS stores and Offspring.co.uk. Want to be in the loop when they drop? Just hit the "Notify me" button above!
