Australian retailer Up There has joined forces with New Balance once again to give the classic 860v2 sneaker a fresh twist. Inspired by Australia’s stunning natural landscapes, this collaboration brings a bold colourway to the NB 860v2 silhouette.
The boutique debuted their string of collabs with New Balance with the ‘Backyard Legends’ 2002Rs, which was was followed by a more understated version of the 1906R. The Up There x New Balance 860v2 sneakers rock a vibrant colour palette of greens, browns and blues that capture the essence of Australia’s stunning landscapes.
And just when you thought these had enough colour to make them pop, the contrasting pink laces take it a step further (you can tone them down with the additional blue or light grey laces included with the sneaker if you're not feeling the pink or the neon green ones). Just like the 2002s, the Up There x New Balance 860v2 come with lace covers, a feature slowly becoming a staple of this partnership.
However, it's not all style and no substance. Staying true to the "performance" DNA of the NB 860v2, this partnership focuses on delivering comfort and functionality. The upper combines breathable mesh with supportive synthetic overlays. Once responsible for carrying runners through marathon training, the ABZORB cushioning in the midsole ensures a comfy ride, whether you’re on the go or trying to make a statement.
We're anticipating the Up There x New Balance 860v2 to drop later this year. These sneakers are expected to be available through Up There’s channels, select retailers, and maybe even on NewBalance.com. You can keep yourself up-to-date on this release by hitting the 'Notify me' button.
