After three consecutive quarters at the top, Demna's Balenciaga has finally lost its title of "World's Hottest Brand," according to the Q2 2022 Lyst Index. It has now been replaced by Gucci, following what can only be described as a standout season in the limelight.
While Balenciaga wowed its global audience with Fortnite, The Simpsons, adidas and Yeezy x GAP collaborations over the last nine months, its offerings slowed somewhat in quarter 2, allowing Gucci to take the top spot.
During this time, we've seen the House of Gucci film, a vast adidas collaboration, and its signature Harry Style "HA HA HA" line, all drawing significant attention and search volume for the luxury Italian fashion house.
Elsewhere in the top ten, we saw Prada come in at third place, Valentino in fourth, Louis Vuitton in fifth, Dior in sixth, Miu Miu in seventh, Fendi in eighth, Diesel in ninth and Burberry in tenth. If you'd like to check out the full list and more, head over to the The Lyst Index's website! Elsewhere in the world of fashion news, Kanye West has dropped over $4 Million USD on Balenciaga in the last 12 months.
