Let’s be honest, most people are styling the Nike Tn wrong. Somewhere along the way it became pigeon-holed as just a tracksuit trainer, the unofficial uniform of late-night corner shop runs and Sunday five-a-side spectators.
But the Air Max Plus, especially in this Italy colourway, deserves far more respect than that. The trick isn’t hiding it, it’s building outfits that let it lead. From relaxed denim to sharper silhouettes (and yes, even the right tracksuit), here are three ways we think the TN Italy should really be styled.
First up, we’re flipping the script completely, opting for a loose SB dark denim to channel a heavy ‘90s look. You’d have definitely seen Europeans lads kitted out in this sort of gear when the TN first came out in 1998. Playing into that throwback look, we’ve styled it with this grey Nike Solo Swoosh hoodie and beige bomber jacket to contrast the darker denim. A pair of crisp Nike TN Italy on feet and Nike Rise cap up top bookend the outfit provide just the right level of balance.
This one is for the Gorpy crowd with this full Nike ACG rig. This cropped ACG bomber does a lot of the heavy lifting, its black colour ensuring the jacket is sharp as well as technical. Cream ACG cargo pants below maintain the functional look, with zip-away legs that allow you to whip out your shins on a hot summer day. We’ve cinched the cuff slightly to let that TN Italy really shine, but you can shroud the TN as much or as little as you like. On top is a Gander Rivington hat (shoutout Rivy Pike), with a short brim and ear flaps that beautifully suit the Gorpcore vibe.

We do acknowledge that there are a few of you out there that are “live by the tracksuit, die by the tracksuit” so this one is for you (sort of). Of course, we haven’t gone full tracksuit mafia, but instead we’ve focused on silhouette. Go for these Bershka balloon fit tracksuit bottoms, whose pronounced cuff sits nicely on the Air Max Plus. Up top we’ve got a similarly boxy combination, layering the Taion military jacket over the grey Bershka hoodie. To wrap things up, we ’ve added a Liju chainstitch hat to play off the olive military bomber.
