From the Instagram dump, it would seem as though Uzi and Vans are working on three different pairs. One of them being a pink checkerboard Slip-On, and the two others being a chunkier 2000s skate shoe which looks like the Linzie from 2008.

Along with samples of the silhouette, the dump references a set of other ‘iconic’ pink moments such as a Lil B The Based God wearing a pink tie and Rhianna’s pink pixie cut. This gives us a glimpse into Uzi’s inspiration behind the heavily pink-hued approach to his upcoming Van’s collection.

Oh, and not to forget how he literally embedded a pink diamond into his forehead...so you could say he's a fan of the colour.

Well, Uzi is no stranger to viral moments, be it through memes, hit songs or TikTok dances – his cultural weight is enormous. Given he only posted this first look at the Vans capsule on the 27th of May 2026, give it until the end of summer and fashion heads will be rocking the checkerboard across Instagram, trying to prove how they were early to the trend.
