Believe it or not, the Travis Scott football boots were actually on our bingo cards for this year. If you’ve been paying attention to Travis’ movements, then you’ll know the signs were hard to ignore, so let me tell you why I think this move makes sense.

The most obvious clue pointing towards Travis Scott’s signature boots was simply because he is still Nike’s biggest talent. Now, you can debate whether he still has the same hold on the culture as he did three years ago, but he’s still ‘that guy’ when it comes to the Swoosh’s roster.
With Nike slowly ramping things up ahead of the 2026 World Cup, you know they had to get their number one laced up in a pair of footy boots. And while he won’t be getting any minutes on the pitch for team USA, you can bet he’ll be attending the games creating some sort of commotion…half time performance perhaps?
His involvement in Nikes’ football division started picking up last year, where Travis hosted the second ‘Secret Tournament’ at Coachella in April of 2025. Here Travis was a mix of referee and host, holding a keen keen eye over the series of 1v1 footy matches.
Everyone playing was decked out in a pair of Total 90s bar Scott, who instead was sporting what looked like a sample pair of his Air Trainer 1 collaboration. While it would have been a great opportunity to touch grass in his new boots (even if it was only artificial), we know the higher ups over at Beaverton know a thing or two about rollouts.

Then the following month in May of 2025, Travis’ Cactus Jack label did a hugely limited collaboration with Barcelona FC. Only 1,899 units were made, with a miniscule 22 signed units being worn by the men’s and women’s first teams. So picking these up was a myth, and resell prices quickly soared over the £1000 mark.
He also produced football-theme merchandise for the European and South American portion of his UTOPIA tour back in 2024. However, Nike wasn’t involved in this one, so perhaps he was just testing the waters for what was to come.
Interestingly, Travis was spotted wearing an Academy Low version of his rumoured Nike Phantom 6 late last year, so we’re expecting an Elite and Academy drop, much like we get with signature athletes Vinícius Jr. and Marcus Rashford.
As The Americana is only around the corner, you can expect these Travis Scott x Nike Phantom 6 Low Elite FG to drop in time for this year’s World Cup. General release editions of the Elite retail for £250, so get ready to spend big if you’re planning on tearing up the pitch in these limited edition boots.
Considering the latest leak of collaborative Nike Cryoshots, there's absolutley no sign of slowing down in terms of its Football Division hype product, with the likes of Slawn and Palace lending their hand in making this the next hottest silhouette.
