New Balance has offered an impressive stream of footwear options this past few months—one of the most coveted drops was the New Balance 2002R 'Refine Future' (often misstated as the 'Protection Pack') that featured a triad of colourways that possessed chunks of cut-out fuzzy suede slabs placed on top of each other from heel to toe. So for those who missed out on that release, the Boston footwear powerhouse has now offered the New Balance 57/40 "Refined Future" White holding the same aesthetic.
The New Balance 57/40 is the modernised version of the classic NB574 silhouette that debuted in 1988, and to this day, the retro-running classics are still as popular as ever. The 57/40's upper doesn't stray too far away from the silhouette's OG setup, but rather, it's the chunky midsole unit down under that makes a big difference.
And in this rendition, the base maintains the original shape but comes with deconstructed panels throughout in an almost-white hue similar to the New Balance 2002R "Sea Salt". Rounding off the pair are traditional New Balance branding details, and a large midsole beneath the feet tinged in a yellow-ish tone delivering a vintage look.
If you don't want to miss out on the latest New Balance releases, especially on the New Balance 5740 "Refined Future" Sea Salt, then keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier at all times! In related news, the Levi's x New Balance 990v3 pack focuses on each brand's signature traits.
