The Nike Dunk Low "Ice" has got to be one of the most unique Dunks in a very long time. Channelling Sean Cliver vibes, we took our very first look at this icy colourway all the way back in September. With its release looming closer and closer, we're now getting our best look yet at the sneaker, and there are so many funky details that we never realised were there before.
Inspired by the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival which is held in Harbin, China every year, the event is famous for its highly intricate illuminated ice buildings. Working on top of a plush satin silver base, snowy white velour panels gently wrap around the toebox, heel, and lacing system. A bold blue hue is injected onto the inner sockliner for added contrast, and the midsole underfoot is dipped in a clean grey tone complete with an icy see-through rubber outsole.
Cute characters are embroidered on both sides of the shoe with kids sleighing through the snow, and the Nike badge around the back is surrounded by rainbow-coloured bunting for that party vibe. To round it all off, the Chinese character for "ice" is stamped onto the custom insoles, finalising the design.
According to our sources the Nike Dunk Low "Ice" will be skiing into the sneaker scene on December 1st, but there's a huge chance that this will be delayed. Let us know what you think of this upcoming colour scheme, and in related news, the Dover Street Market x Nike Dunk Low "Triple Black" is also wrapped in velvety velour!
