Update (26th November, 2024): Official images of the Stash x Nike Air Max 95 sneakers have hit Nike SNKRS ahead of the collaboration’s highly anticipated return on 13th December. Besides providing the best look yet at the forthcoming retro, they showcase some notable material differences.
Where the original 2006 release used a near full suede application across the Air Max 95’s anatomy inspired upper paneling, this retro opts for a "half and half" assemblage, with suede towards the midsole that gives way to synthetic leather and textiles towards the top. The lace loops provide another notable difference from the original, as they’re of an exposed webbing variety that feeds through the eyelets instead of the Air Max 95’s standard concealed eyestays.
The Stash x Nike Air Max 95 Blue will be releasing through the SNKRS app, retailing for £175.
Nike is joining forces again with the legendary Brooklyn graffiti artist and designer Stash to bring back their iconic Air Max 95 collaboration from 2006. While everyone was expecting a release on Air Max Day 2025, recent buzz has it that these kicks might actually drop during the Holiday 2024 season. From the latest teasers, it looks like there are some notable updates to the design as well.
This upcoming release isn’t just a reissue; it looks like Stash and Nike are making some big changes to the model. The new Stash Air Max 95 comes with different materials compared to the original 2006 version, which could boost its protective, water-repellent features.
The eyelets on this updated AM95 silhouette now show off openings instead of being hidden under the Light Blue later. It also seems like the the darker shade of Blue has been switched to a taped layer, taking the place of the classic suede panel. The gradient design has definitely got a refresh. What used to be an upper of gradient Blue on top of Grey toes and panels is now rocking deeper Navy shades.
Nike has not yet revealed the pricing and release date for this eagerly awaited sneaker. Could it be a shock drop? Who knows! However, what we do know is that you'll be the first to find out, if you hit the 'Notify me' button above.
