The Stray Rats x New Balance 991 Collaboration Is Arriving in 2 Colourways

Now that lockdown regulations have eased across the globe, New Balance has set itself on a mission to reunite with its fan-favourite collaborators. Throughout this year, we've seen a series of covetable offerings from the Boston-based footwear label, notably a few takes on the NB991 model for its 20th anniversary.

As we fast approach the end of 2021, New Balance is calling Julian Consuegra-led brand once again—this time, for two 991 colourways to close the year. We've got a first look at the coveted Stray Rats x New Balance 991 collaboration, and here's everything you need to know!

For those following the power duo's journey, we have no doubts that this two-piece ensemble will be a must-cop for you as it holds a similar colour scheme as their previous offerings—the New Balance 990v3 and New Balance 827 specifically. The outset sees a familiar "Joker Purple" accent, while the latter opts for pops of black and "Fuschia Pink". Both shoes arrive with the silhouette's OG materials, with reflective 3M accents and mixed suede, leather and mesh fabrics forming the majority of components. The design is complete with co-branding details as well as a classic ABZORB midsole unit.
