These Air Force 1s Come with Pretty Pearl Detailing

For the shoe’s 40th anniversary, Nike have been experimenting with the different ways they can add premium touches to the classic Air Force 1. Some variations have seen soft suedes and luxe nubuck touches, others have seen themes or new soles. This new women’s-exclusive edition, however, takes things a step further with pretty pearl detailing adding an especially luxurious touch. Official images of the Air Force 1 “Pearl White” have landed, so let’s take a closer look at the pair.

Whereas the classic sneaker usually comes in a smooth leather make-up, the “Pearl White” AF1 sees a premium tumbled leather take over the upper, save for the Nike Swoosh and heel overlays. To add extra detail, the Beaverton brand has upgraded the tongue tabs for monochromatic, debossed leather versions of the usual branding hits.

The real star of the show though is the cute pearl detailing that dresses the pair. The “Pearl White” Air Force comes decorated with pearlescent studs that can be found at the mid panel and vamp, with some of them even featuring tiny Swoosh details that add an extra touch of luxurious Nike branding. The pair comes finished with the standard Air Force 1 sole unit, staying true to the timeless style of the silhouette.
