The Y2K-inspired adidas Response CL “Earth Strata” presents an earthy colour scheme designed to hit the city streets. This modern-day remake of the Response series stays true to its predecessor’s design, characterised by technical running aesthetics and a sporty yet chunky look.
Layers of rich brown mesh form the base of this sneaker, reinforced by swathes of leather and suede. Glossy plastic 3-Stripes decorate the sides, while the iconic adidas mountain logo appears on the tongue and heel panel. The chunky EVA midsole dons a cream white tone, giving off a vintage makeover. Below, the rigid Torsion bar on the midfoot delivers arch support, accompanied by Formotion technology for flexibility, tying together running shoe technologies from the ‘90s and early 2000s.
