BAPE x adidas Samba Black Gum

In today’s sneaker scene, where fashion trends shift often, A BATHING APE maintains its relevance as it unveils one of its biggest collaborative projects yet. The Japanese streetwear label’s latest team-up with the Herzogenaurach powerhouse adidas showcases two flawlessly revamped versions of the all-time classic Samba, giving the silhouette’s timeless look a contemporary makeover. This BAPE x adidas Samba “Black Gum” preserves the OG colourway’s low-profile aesthetic, a far cry from the vibrant “Winning Collection” iteration from 2018.

This terrace trainer features a blacked-out leather upper with a modified T-toe overlay resembling the APE HEAD’s face. The mismatched white 3-Stripes and BAPE STA cover the lateral and medial sides, complementing the golden A BATHING APE label on the quarter and co-branding on the ribbed tongue. Meanwhile, the gold Trefoil and APE HEAD logo sit atop the ABC CAMO print on the sockliner, celebrating the long-standing partnership between the two brands. The gum rubber outsole stays true to form, delivering traction on and off the pitch.
