BAPE x adidas Samba White Gum

In a fusion of streetwear and football, the BAPE x adidas Samba “White Gum” reinterprets the fan-favourite terrace shoe with A BATHING APE’s trademark details. Sharing over two decades of collaboration, this release marks only the second BAPE x adidas Samba project. The first is, of course, the World Cup-inspired “Winning Collection” from 2018. Instead of incorporating BAPE’s often vibrant and attention-grabbing designs, this iteration preserves the trainer’s timeless look by opting for an OG colour blocking we all recognise.

Clean white leather forms the durable upper, reinforced by a rubberised T-toe overlay with subtle textures reminiscent of the APE HEAD. The black BAPE STA and 3-Stripes appear on the sidewalls in alternating fashion, creating a mismatched aesthetic that never goes out of style. A gold foil “A BATHING APE” callout decorates the lateral panel, complementing the golden Trefoil and APE HEAD logos on the ABC CAMO sockliner. The woven co-branding on the ribbed tongue nods to the Samba’s football heritage. The slim gum sole underfoot remains unchanged, providing ample stability and traction, just as the regular model does.
