The adidas Samba has picked up a huge new fanbase this past year and with this pair from Sporty & Rich, it’s never been clearer as to why. With there being so much demand for the silhouette, the Samba will probably be the hardest to grab out of the three. Once again, adidas provides the canvas for the Sporty & Rich founder Emily Oberg, to add her artistic touch.
All the staple features are present on the shoe, along with all the necessary details to make these a solid collaborative pair. The 3-stripes found on the side panel have been hit with a court green, tapping into the athleisure roots of the Sporty & Rich brand. The silk name patch on the tongue gives off the impression that these are someone’s personal pair, hidden away in a locker at your local tennis club. The pearl key chain which comes packaged with the shoes, looks like an earring worn by only the classiest of 80s female tennis players. This detail is inspired by the mood boards and campaign shoots which were a key part of forming the Sporty & Rich aesthetic.
The cream laces and classic gum soles add to the “vintage sportswear tied with luxury” brand ethos behind the design. Exceptional storytelling and colour blocking are just two great reasons why these are a must for the collection.
These are available in both men’s and women’s sizes so stay locked into The Sole Supplier to find out where to pick these up this November.
