The adidas Roelee SPZL "Green White" is a carefully crafted hybrid that pays tribute to adidas’ deep archive, evolving from the groundwork laid by the Whalley SPZL. Originally inspired by the adidas All Round, the Whalley’s design language has now been pushed further, resulting in a silhouette that feels both familiar and entirely new.
For the Roelee, the Spezial team swapped out the Whalley’s gum sole for an avocado foxing tape, previously seen on the Gazelle SPZL, giving the shoe a cleaner, more streamlined aesthetic reminiscent of early adidas court shoes. The green suede upper is paired with crisp white 3-Stripes and a co-branded suede tongue, while a subtle mismatch in the green collar lining adds an intentional archival twist.
This release reflects adidas’ tradition of experimenting with tooling and materials, bringing one-off concepts to life in a form that collectors and terrace culture enthusiasts will appreciate. Each pair also comes with secondary lace options, allowing for personalised styling.
Dropping on the 27th of March 2025 via the adidas CONFIRMED app and select SPZL stockists, be sure to set a release reminder so you don't miss out. Find out where you can buy the adidas Roelee SPZL "Green White" by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
