Brain Dead x adidas Forest Hills Shadow Brown Red

Hot on the heels of its 10th anniversary, Los Angeles-based label Brain Dead reunites with adidas to revive an archival tennis shoe. Introduced in 1976, the Forest Hills trainer is a tribute to a central neighbourhood in Queens, New York, once home to the US Open Championships. This Brain Dead x adidas Forest Hills “Shadow Brown Red” reimagines the retro silhouette with rich textures and intricate details.

This rendition features a rich brown hairy suede upper, which extends towards the toe area of the cream-coloured rubber cupsole. Bright red accents animate the leather 3-Stripes and back tabs, complementing the mismatched co-branding on the textured tongue, sockliner, and heel panel. The fuzzy laces align with the silhouette’s richly layered design, whilst the blue zig-zag stitching on the rear contrasts the earthy palette. Pivot circles and herringbone patterns on the outsole ensure excellent traction.
