The adidas Superstar XLG arrives in a special-edition colourway in collaboration with the Star Wars franchise and Japanese contemporary art gallery Nanzuka. Showcasing graphic designs by artist Hiroki Tsukuda, the Star Wars x Nanzuka x adidas Superstar XLG “White Black” highlights the droid tandem R2-D2 and C-3PO, two of the most beloved robots in George Lucas’ sci-fi universe.
This chunky sneaker boasts a durable leather upper printed with R2-D2 and C-3PO artwork in black and white. Black, semi-transparent 3-Stripes decorate the sidewalls, complementing the leather back tabs. Gold accents animate the “Superstar” branding on the lateral sidewall and Trefoil print on the tongue. Co-branded logos grace the graphic sockliners, a nod to the long-standing partnership between The Brand with the 3-Stripes and Lucasfilm. The signature rubber shell toe and platform cupsole sport a cream-white tone for a vintage finish. This sneaker arrives in a special-edition box with a Star Wars-inspired hangtag.
