Kiko Kostadinov reunites with Los Angeles gallery Morán Morán to unveil the OTTO 958 x ASICS Protoblast “Black”. Derived from the GEL-100, GELBURST, and GELHOOP 6, this latest project expands the London-based designer’s vast portfolio with the Japanese sportswear powerhouse, merging archival running shoe and basketball sneaker design influences to form its futuristic aesthetic.

This PROTOBLAST-CMLVIII rendition flaunts a stealthy black mesh and leather construction with embroidered “OTTO958” branding on the sidewalls. Bright gold accents animate the “O” on the toe box, complementing the ASICS logos on the tongue and lateral collar. Co-branded details decorate the sockliner as a nod to the partnership. The chunky midsole incorporates FF BLAST technology for responsive cushioning and maximum shock absorption. The solid rubber outsole provides multidirectional traction on varied indoor and outdoor surfaces.
