Here’s a closer look at the ASICS x Porter GEL-Kayano Black. This inspired collaboration comes at the hands of Japanese based label Porter who’ve reworked the classic Gel-Kayono silhouette. Paying homage to the iconic bomber jacket, this design opts for a stealthy black outer complimented by a vibrant orange inner lining.
Premium suede it utilised across the upper with soft and lightweight synthetic panels for additional durability. This gives a winning combination of hard-wearing toughness matched with that refined aesthetic.
All the conventional Gel-Kayano detailing make an appearance from the synthetic ASICS stripes across the sidewall to the overlay at the heel. These not only add more reassurance but give that contemporary look where different materials fuse together.
To compliment that full black upper, a tonal midsole sits underfoot complete with Gel Lyte technology. It makes the shoe even more lighter in weight without sacrificing protection. Finally, that vibrant orange inner lining adds a nice contrast while PORTER branding features throughout.
The ASICS x Porter GEL-Kayano Black is scheduled to release on Friday 12th May via the retailers listed.
