Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse Chuck 70 High Multi Heart Milk

Since 2009, Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons PLAY has been actively collaborating with Converse in the sneaker space, creatively incorporating Polish designer Filip Pagowski’s iconic logo into timeless Converse with the hearts in an assortment of captivating styles. The two long-time collaborators link up once more to present this four-pack Converse Chuck 70 “Multi Heart” collection in old-school colour combinations, similar to the 2019 capsule. This Comme des Garçons PLAY Chuck 70 High “Multi Heart Milk” embodies the iconic sneaker’s century-old heritage, elevated with CDG PLAY’s timeless insignia.

Following an initial release on Dover Street Market, the sneaker returns for a wider release alongside a restock of several CDG x Converse Chuck 70 styles as part of the brand’s December launch. This colourway flaunts a pure and simple colour scheme, clad in a milky white canvas upper, a durable and lightweight fabric that has been tried and tested by Converse since time immemorial, and a black nylon heelstay. Meanwhile, multiple black heart-and-eyes logos adorn the sides, with each symbol facing varied directions for a street-ready flair. A signature Converse Chuck Taylor logo patch embellishes the medial panel, accented with a blue star for a pop of colour atop the discreet makeover. Metallic lace holes deliver a premium detail, while co-branded labels appear on the sockliners. A classic gum rubber sole wraps up the tonal design of these kicks.
