The Converse Chuck 70 Low Top Upcycled Egret is the latest release to hail from Converse’s recently founded Renew line. The line aims to produce environmentally-friendly and sustainable products by repurposing unwanted fabrics and scraps from the label’s factories - these Chuck’s are made entirely from leftover canvas scraps.
The classic silhouette is decked out in a natural egret colour, and the raw undyed canvas used is the same as you’d find on any other pair of Chuck Taylor’s, so there’s no compromise in quality. Edges are left frayed to play on the upcycled nature of the pair, and branding is absent from the uppers for a minimalist effect.
Underfoot, the classic vintage rubber sole is present as ever and stretches round to form the toe box. The usual black stripes are done away with to keep things ever more streamlined, while high-end cushioning developed in partnership with Nike is featured inside to make these ultra-comfortable.
The Converse Chuck 70 Low Top Upcycled Egret is available now from a handful of retailers across the globe, so if you’re as keen as we are on these versatile classics, then the good news is that you can pick a pair up now. Follow our list of approved retailers above and grab them now!
