New Balance has always had a bit of a rep for being a 'Dad' brand, but its latest style takes things to a whole new level. With clogs and mules trending for 2022, the Boston-based brand has taken one of its most sucessful silhouettes of recent years, and cut off the back to create the ultimate dad shoe. Having seen a couple of colourways hit the shelves over the past few months, the New Balance 2002r Mule "Light Grey" is the latest pair to join the line up, so here's what to expect from them.
Arriving in a rugged-looking mix of mesh and suede, the "Light Grey" 2002r Mule sees tonal greys dress the sneaker throughout, while navy and silver accents add extra detailing. The 2002r's usual lacing system has been replaced with a one-piece perforated panel, although the comfortable N-ERGY sole unit that's seen on its fully intact counterpart remains the same.
