The NB 2002 was first introduced in 2010 and was known as one of New Balance's premium running sneakers. In 2020, the Boston footwear label revived the model and added the "R" added to its title. This new 2002R colourway is predominantly in white with contrasting navy blue counterparts. The leather-and-mesh upper is supported by an ABZORB SBS heel and N-ergy sole cushioning technologies for comfort and traction. The midsole, borrowed from the New Balance 860v2, features a yellow hue that adds a vintage flair to the design.
