Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 PS Blue

Long-time collaborators New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore reunite for a four-pack collaboration featuring the classic ‘80s basketball shoe, the New Balance 550. This collaboration is a kids’ exclusive release, revisiting the four OG colourways in the first ALD x NB 550 pack in 2020. The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 PS “Blue” displays a vintage-inspired sail white base accented with navy blue shades for a classic ‘80s basketball aesthetic.

Introduced in 1989, the New Balance 550 Basketball Oxford was the low-top counterpart of the high-cut NB 650. The silhouette remained in the archives for decades until Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis helped the Boston-based brand revive the model. This youth-sized rendition maintains the sail white leather base with perforated side panels. Navy blue accents decorate the cracked leather “N” logos, collar, minimalist heel counter, and rubber sole. Co-branded labels adorn the tongue, while an embroidered “550” branding appears on the lateral forefoot. Multiple New Balance logos on the old-school midsole wrap up this revisited colourway.
