New York-based fashion label Aimé Leon Dore became responsible for the comeback of the late ‘80s basketball silhouette, the New Balance 550, when it teamed up with New Balance for a four-pack collaboration in 2020. Three years later, all four colourways return in kids’ exclusive sizes. This Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 PS “Grey” flaunts an authentic ‘80s aesthetic with its sail white and grey colour palette.

Staying true to its original form, this preschool version NB 550 has a sail white leather upper construction, accented with New Balance’s signature greyscale tones throughout the panels. Cracked leather covers the “N” logos on the sides, fulfilling its vintage design theme. Yellowish midsoles bring consistency to the collab, appearing in every ALD x NB 550 release. The grey rubber sole wraps up the old-school makeover of these youth-sized kicks.
