New Balance’s hybrid running shoe with an ‘80s-meets-the-’90s design, the 57/40, has a new and bold black-and-white release. Meet the New Balance 57/40 Black Magnet Sea Salt.
Due to an almost-all-Black-and-Magnet upper, what immediately sticks out on this 57/40 are the outsized “N” logos in white on both the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. The branding on both the tongue tab and the insole are unassuming in the same colours as the rest of the overlays. The mudguard and the heel counter are also distinctive due to their furry texture. A grey and Sea Salt double-stacked moulded midsole and a black textured rubber tread cap off the look of this sneaker.
