Nike expanded its highly revered Huarache franchise with the debut of the Air Huarache Runner in 2023. The lifestyle-focused silhouette, borrowing its design from the OG Air Huarache model, gives the latter a modern-day update to form a more traditional upper construction. This Nike Air Huarache Runner “Cargo Khaki” arrives just in time for autumn, clad in its titular shade that perfectly matches your cargo pants.

This newly-introduced Air Huarache Runner model looks to replicate the success of its iconic predecessors in the ‘90s by releasing styles that captivate the next-generation sneakerheads. The shoe has an olive green mesh and suede construction, reinforced by a dark olive pebbled leather midfoot overlay and a sleek TPU heel counter. Embroidered Swooshes adorn the sides, toe, and heel, deviating from the Swooshless design of the pioneering Air Huarache. Light green overlays on the forefoot and heel feature 3M reflective details for extra flair. This variant rids the neoprene collar, instead incorporating mesh fabrics with internal padding to mimic the foot-hugging sensation of the early ‘90s trainer. Meanwhile, the chunky foam midsole encases a Nike Air unit for a plush, bouncy comfort underfoot. Sticking to Nike running heritage, the classic waffle sole completes this updated take on the Air Huarache.
