A tribute to Michael Jordan’s final years in the NBA, the Wizards colourway releases for the first time. Alongside the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”, Michael Jordan wore this colourway as a Player Exclusive rendition. Represent the Washington Wizards in the Air Jordan 3 Retro GS “Wizards”.
The Air Jordan 3 made some noise early in the year with the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined” release. Now, Jordan Brand revisits Michael Jordan’s second and final team in the NBA, the Washington Wizards. The Air Jordan 3 is hailed as the game-changing shoe that made Michael Jordan stay with Nike. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ3 features the signature elephant print overlays and the debut of the Jumpman logo. This shoe also flaunted the Nike Air Max unit in the heel, which became the cushioning system in the three models after the AJ3.
This colourway features a white leather upper with signature grey elephant prints on the toe and heel. Blue accents comprise the PU foam midsole, heel Jumpman, upper lace holes, and lining. Copper tones adorn the Jumpman on the tongue, lower lace holes, and forefoot traction pod. This is the first release of this colourway after appearing on MJ’s feet during his stint with the Washington Wizards. The shoe came out in full-family sizing, including this GS size.
